Dr. Eugene Manley, Jr.
Cancer Scientist • Health Equity Strategist • Nonprofit Founder
Turning cancer disparities into concrete action in care, communities, and STEMM.
Eugene Manley Jr., PhD is a cancer scientist, health equity strategist, and speaker with 20+ years of experience across research, nonprofits, and program leadership. He is the founder of the STEMM & Cancer Health Equity (SCHEQ) Foundation, recognized as a 2025 Best STEM Diversity and Cancer NPO. Eugene works with hospitals, cancer centers, nonprofits, and campuses to make lung cancer information clearer, care more equitable, and STEMM pathways more accessible for underrepresented students. Drawing on his own experience of medical racism and a first-gen journey from Detroit to the PhD, he blends story, data, and practical tools so audiences leave with clear next steps – not just inspiration.
